My First Day

Hi Everyone!

This is my attempt at starting my very own blog. This will be primarily a food blog, but I'll try and throw some interesting tidbits of my life now and then!

Ever since the holidays, I've been gaining weight like crazy and its been bugging me a lot.
I am embarrassed at how I look and I don't even want to go out to meet friends anymore!
WTH?!!

So, after reading many inspiring blogs, I've decided to take matters into my own hands.
There is no one who can help me but myself! (my husband tells me that all the time! Sure, he's my major support, but at the end of the day, it comes down to ME!)

And the most important thing is, I've realized its not really about the scale and how much you weigh, its about FEELING healthy, which lately, I do not! Its amazing how much crap I digest, and in the end, I feel sick and I dont feel good about myself. I still want to enjoy the food pleasures! (who can give up chocolate and ice cream now and then), but want to live healthier and feel good about myself. All the other great benefits will fall in place!

Started the day out not bad! I wanted to run 3 miles, but it started to rain, so hence I only ran 1.5 miles, but I figure its better than just sitting on my lazy butt!
SO...Today's planned meals are:

Bfast: I had 3 bites of my husbands PB/J Bfast sandwhich and a gulp of milk
Snack: Grapefruit
Lunch: Broccoli, Greens and leftover protein
Dinner: Korean BBQ

Yes, I really dont want to eat out, but I dont want to be antisocial either. The big challenge is, I must not go overboard when eating!!!! That will be tough. Any helpful hints?

My weight is: 214.4 (yikes, did I just publish that?!)
I want to lose 10 pounds by March 14. = 204lb
My halfweigh mark is Feb. 28 = 209lb

My goal is to lose more, but I want to hit my first mini goal and then I'll adjust.

I dont have a snazzy camera to post pics and frankly I dont know how to on blogs!

    Feeling healthy is one of the best... feelings ever. You'll get there!

  2. it's tough eating out and maintaining a healthy diet. i've found it easier to control what i eat than how much. sometimes i'll also eat something healthy before i go out, and then just have something light and healthy with friends. kim chee is healthy! :P korean bbq is so good! i hope it's not a buffet.
